Question by robert f: How do I identify mold on my brown carpet? What color could it be?
Recently, my allergies went bonkers in my apartment. My damp comforter has been in my apartment for about 4months. I noticed some blue stuff on the carpet. I used resolve on the carpet and it seemed to go away. Is there mold on my carpet?

It sounds very much like it. There is no need to replace all the carpet , as most people think they do. If you have a spare piece of carpet or take a piece from a place it will not show( under heavy furniture or from inside a closet. Cut the piece of carpet that has the mold growth on it out. Use a safety knife or razor. Treat the bottom of the whole with a proprietary fungicide , Once this has been done, dab the whole and the ends of the tufts with a suitable latex adhesive , insert the tufts into the hole and allow to dry , then brush to blend with the pile. This way will save you a lot of money.
