I just moved into an apartment that has really dirty carpet in the living room. I’m too poor to get it professionally cleaned or to rent or buy a machine. Is there any really cheap way to clean it myself without a steam cleaner machine?

first, i think you should buy the airsopure, it cleans the air, and filters it into clean air and takes it out, it also works as a fan as it filters clean air♥

I have a Bissell Easy Steamer and would like to know if I can make a home-made solution to clean my carpets. I am hoping for a strong yet gentle solution that will not damage carpet, yet clean dingy areas. My carpet is a dark grey low-pile and my area rug is an off-white medium pile.

take one gallon of extremely hot water. add one teaspoon of bleach and make sure it is thoroughly diluted. then add four cups of vinegar, and one cup of laundry detergent. Will do better than even the crap from the store. good luck.

I bout it for hard floor. I have both tile and laminate wood. I read many good reviews about this product. Tempo Widepath Bagged Upright. It works great with a lot of suction power on carpet, but when I use it on my hard floor, sand / small particles get spitted out behind I can literally feel it is hitting in my feet. Any suggestion?
2) When I operate it generate dusty dumpy smells. I just bought this machine back in November and probably used it less than five times. I used it for dust / sand / floor only. I also just changed a back using Allergy Filter -HEPA bag).

The spinning brush is the problem. The velocity is throwing the hard particles before the vacuum can suck them up.
Check to see if there is a way to vacuum without making the brush spin.
Personally, I would use a microfiber dust mop rather then a vacuum on wood or laminate floors.

I have 2 cats and one had an accident twice. As you know its not easy to get the smell out. I did buy urine off and can hand scrub it but do you think I should just get the spotbot by bissell and pay $ 130 or is there a cheaper carpet cleaner that works as well. I do have some other spots I would like to clean. We are moving in the summer and the house has no carpet is why i hate to spend the money.

My wife and I have 3 cats and a two yr.old boy,and we have all hardwood floors with a few area rugs.I use the spotbot at least 2 to 3 times a week,because it has attachments you can clean your furniture, cars,beds,and the few area rugs.So my advice is to get one,you will be surprised in how much you will use it.hope this helps.
